Purpose of Job: To provide administrative support in the Human Resources Department undertaking a variety of administrative duties to support the efficient and smooth running of the department.
Main Duties:
To provide administrative support to the Human Resources department and act as a point of contact for incoming general HR queries
To be responsible for the administration of various mailboxes, responding to generic queries and flagging emails to relevant colleagues
To undertake administration for the full recruitment cycle
To support the onboarding process for new staff including ensuring pre-employment checks are completed and issuing contractual and new starter documentation
To provide data entry to maintain accurate up to date staff records on our HR Management Information System
To provide administrative support to the wider HR Team in various processes, including drafting letters, assisting with events, booking meeting rooms, and supporting dedicated projects
To ensure that digital staff files are compliant with statutory and university requirements
To support with administration of processes such as sickness absence data entry, probation, DBS, starters and leavers
To offer support to recruiting line managers using the e-recruitment system
To work closely with HR Administration team to provide coordinated support for the HR team and cover during periods of absence
The post holder will also be required to undertake other administrative duties identified by their line manager commensurate with the level and grade of the post.

A university degree
Clear interest in HR
Previous experience of keeping accurate and compliant records
Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing
Effective organisational skills and demonstrable attention to detail
Excellent Digital skills specifically in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams
Desirable
CIPD qualification or working towards
Previous experience of recruitment administration including using a recruitment system
Previous experience in an HR administration role
Previous experience in providing high quality administrative support, working in a busy office environment
Experience of using a data Management Information System
